Ceramics
Clay processing by deflocculation and wet grinding is a widely used procedure in the ceramic floor and wall tile industry. Our sodium silicates and metasilicates act as an effective, reliable and low cost deflocculant. They absorb onto the clay surface and causes the clay particles to repel one another. In this way, they reduce the viscosity of slips, making pumping easier, and reduce the energy costs of drying processes.

Metal surface treatment
Alkaline solution cleaning is a very old form of commercial metal cleaning, and it is still widely used. Our sodium metasilicate (pentahydrate, nonahydrate, anhydrous) is especially suitable for cleaning metal surfaces. Their free-flowing nature makes them very convenient to mix with other cleaning agents such as phosphate, soda or caustic soda. Yueda can also provide a complete variety of alkaline liquid sodium silicate (water glass).

Flotation minerals
Our sodium metasilicate and sodium silicate contain highly hydratable HSiO3-ions, silicic acid molecules and colloidal particles that are adsorbed on the surface of the mineral, which makes the surface of the mineral hydrophilic and inhibited. The mechanism of sludge dispersion is that negatively charged silica gel particles and HSiO3 are adsorbed on the surface of the sludge, so that these sludge particles with the same charge repel each other and are in a stable dispersion state. Our product is an effective dispersant to keep unwanted materials in suspension and select valuable minerals.

Textile
In the textile industry, our sodium silicate and metasilicate are used for cleaning, scouring, bleaching and dye fixing operations. Dye fixation: Our sodium silicate is used as an alkaline buffer to maintain the stability of reactive dyes. Bleaching agent stability: peroxide, used for bleaching, degraded under the catalysis of copper, iron, manganese and other metals. Adding our water glass will deactivate these metals and prevent premature degradation of active oxygen. Cleaning: Our sodium metasilicate is particularly suitable for removing light or heavy grease and soil.

Water treatment
Our sodium silicate is used as a corrosion inhibitor in water distribution systems such as drinking water and industrial water distribution pipelines. In addition, our sodium silicate also helps the complexation of iron and manganese to prevent discoloration.
The advantages of sodium silicate as a corrosion inhibitor are also used in other applications, such as engine antifreeze, detergents and metal surface cleaners.
-
Oil and drilling
Our sodium silicate is used in silicate drilling fluids and is an effective, versatile and low-cost alternative to oil-based drilling fluids. Our products are known for providing extraordinary borehole stability.
Our sodium metasilicate is very effective in ordinary and heavy muds and can reduce water mobility. They are widely used as cost-effective fillers, allowing for higher water-cement ratios. They can also be used as cement accelerators.

Detergent
Our sodium metasilicate and liquid sodium silicate provide multiple benefits for almost every type of detergent. From industrial cleaning to dishwashers and laundry detergents. Our pentahydrate sodium metasilicate and zero water sodium metasilicate have strong alkalinity and are especially suitable for industrial cleaning. In addition, our liquid sodium silicate, with its milder alkalinity, is more suitable for daily chemical washing and automatic dishwasher products. On the other hand, our liquid sodium silicate can be used in various additives in different ratios and viscosities.

Refractory material
Yueda can provide a full range of liquid sodium silicate and sodium metasilicate products, especially suitable for the refractory industry. Sodium metasilicate is easily dissolved, even in cold water. Our nonahydrate sodium metasilicate has high water content and low melting point (48℃), which is especially suitable for self-flowing heat repair mixture.

Concrete densifier
When sprayed on the concrete surface, silicate penetrates into the drainage channels and cavities saturated with calcium hydroxide, where it reacts with free lime (calcium hydroxide) to form insoluble calcium silicate hydrate. These gels increase the density, strength and durability of the treated concrete surface. As a result, concrete floors have better wear resistance, less dust, and easier maintenance.

Offset printing
The use of sodium silicate and metasilicate for metal surface treatment is well known. They are commonly used in the pretreatment of aluminum alloys as cleaners and corrosion inhibitors. But did you know that our sodium silicate is also used in offset printing, where, after grinding and anodizing, the silicate treatment optimizes the characteristics of the aluminum plate

Pulp and paper
Our sodium silicate is widely used in hydrogen peroxide bleaching of raw silk and regenerated fibers. They stabilize peroxides by combining transition metals such as iron, copper and manganese, which would otherwise catalyze the premature release of oxygen. In waste paper deinking, the soil suspension properties of sodium silicate help remove ink particles from paper fibers.

Inorganic polymer binder
Alkali silicate is very suitable for activating slag, fly ash, other pozzolanic materials or combinations of previous materials to obtain high-performance inorganic polymer binders. In addition, we can also provide alkali silicate activators in liquid, granular or powder form.
